When It Comes To The Schools..

The Tortoise Does Not Beat The Hare
In April of 2010 one of our affiliate newspapers agreed that joining the iNK Barrel Network was a good idea, however they waited to get things set up to start broadcasting local sports until closer to the season. They said they had other pressing issues to deal with and this would have to wait. They thought they had time.

In August, when they were now ready to get set up they approached the school and found an obstacle standing in their way. The obstacle was a high School Sophomore who was streaming the game live over the internet.

The Tribune is now in a very difficult position. They want to broadcast local high school sports using the iNK Barrel Network but find it very hard to muscle out a local student. They have now been put on hold as they try to come up with a new way around what is becoming a common occurrence. Start up ventures getting into the local franchise of local newspapers.

This is not an isolated incidence. There are start up across the country stealing our local franchise (local sports) and time is now of the essence.

To get broadcasting: iNK Barrel customer service will walk you through the entire process from buying equipment to testing a live broadcast. Contact our support team at 605.721.3997 or support@inkbarrelvideo.com.
